Basking Sharks are a terrifying force of nature and the object of many of Matt's nightmares. However, Pat likes them because they remind him of the Gaping Dragon from Dark Souls. It should be noted that basking sharks only eat plankton and are not harmful to humans.

- The basking shark appears as a playable character in the roster of many Super Best Friends Brawl intros.
- It also appears during the intro sequence for the first Shitstorm of Scariness.
- A giant basking shark was seen teaming up with the Mummy Lobster in the fifth episode of Two Best Friends Funtime Adventures, The Feel of Action Games.
